Visits to sick bay must be supervised. Notify your teacher / trainer / supervisor before using the sick bay. Notify them when you leave the sick bay (for example if you decide to return to class, go to the doctor or go home).If first aid is requiredit must be administered by a first aider with current qualifications.
Accommodation
Students seeking accommodation during the year should speak with their campus based Counsellor.
Student Activity Group (SAG)
This is an official independent student organisation within the Institute formed to look after student interests. All students enrolled are eligible to nominate for membership.
Representatives organise social events and activities. They are interested in listening to students ideas for activities.
The students also have representation on the Institute Council and its sub-committees. Contact the Institute Counsellors for further details.
Car parking
In Bairnsdale, all day parking is available in Main Street, at the rear of the campus, along the southern side of the Princes Highway and in Park Street, which is only a couple of minutes walk from the campus.

Canteens and restaurants
Take-away food is available at Bairnsdale Campus.
The Institute also has three training restaurants, which are operated by hospitality students under the guidance of staff.
The restaurants are open to the public during times of training. Reservations for The Oaktree Restaurant in Bairnsdale can be made on 5152 0700.
Student lounge
There is a student lounges for the use of all enrolled students at the Bairnsdale campus. Tea/coffee, cold drinks and snack vending machines are available.
Student messages
As a service to on campus students, both full and part time, messages phoned through to the Institute will be displayed on the student notice board in the main administrative building.
