Hello from the Tafe Student and Staff Counsellors at Bairnsdale & Fulham Campus’ respectively. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to EG TAFE (or indeed to welcome you back). We would also like to wish you well with your course, and hope you find it stimulating, challenging and rewarding.

Study can be personally challenging and life changing. It can lead you to question things about your own life and to re think things that you have previously accepted without question. This is usually all good but if it should cause any issues for you, then we are here to assist. All you need to do is give us a call.

Almost certainly your studies will leave you feeling better about yourself, proud of what you have achieved and more confident in social and work situations.

Whilse at TAFE, you will meet new friends and hopefully have a great time. However, there may also be times when it feels a bit lonely or out of control. Your teachers and support staff are a great lot so don’t hesitate to talk to them or tell them if there are personal issues that are interfering with your ability to study.

Also keep us in mind if you want a confidential listening ear. Don’t think anything is too minor or too silly to talk over with us. We would like to assist with matters such as personal relationships, study issues, depression/anxiety, or indeed any other issue which interrupts your ability to study. This includes matters that arise at TAFE or at home. If we can be of help to you please give us a call, drop in, or email for an appointment.
