Why you need a Student network account

A student network account provides you with:

	• 20 Mb of temporary personal storage space on the student network
	• access to the Internet from student PCs in the labs, libraries and Flexible Learning Centres

Currently enrolled students can set up a student account using the online Student Account Creator (SAC) system.

To create an account you will need:

• your student ID (this is below your name on your student card. For EG TAFE students, this starts with the first three letters of your surname, followed by an eight digit number).
• a password of your choice (this needs to be a minimum of eight characters and a mixture of letters and numbers but with no spaces or other characters).
• if you are under 18, the approval of a parent or guardian to use the internet.
