What is ‘It’s not cheating’?
It’s not Cheating is a Microsoft promotion offering students & staff at TAFEs & Universities the opportunity to purchase a number software packages at hugely discounted prices*.

Can I upgrade from Vista or Windows XP? *
If you have Windows Vista, you can purchase Windows 7 Upgrade versions. You can do a clean install (back up your files, clean install, and reinstall your applications) or an in-place upgrade (Windows 7 installs over Windows Vista).

If you have Windows XP, you can purchase Windows 7 Upgrade versions. But you must back up your files, clean install, and reinstall your applications. If you’re running Windows 2000, you’ll need to purchase the full product and do a clean install.

Who’s eligible for the It’s Not Cheating program?
It’s Not Cheating is only available to eligible students, staff and faculty* who possess a valid email address at an educational institution geographically located in Australia. It’s Not Cheating is non-transferable.

Limit one purchase per eligible person.

Students, staff or faculty who do not have a valid email account (as described above) can participate by submitting verifiable documentation.

How do I buy the software?

Go to www.itsnotcheating.com.au follow the instructions on the site.

DO NOT attempt to download the software files using EG TAFE’s internet connection.

The file sizes for these programs are very large and not suitable to download using EG TAFE’s internet connection.

Your options for obtaining the software are:

1. Purchase an original CD for an additional $14 from Microsoft (option via the purchasing process)
2. Download at home (not suitable for dial up)
3. Purchase a backup copy from EG TAFE  

How do I purchase a backup copy from EG TAFE?
Once you have email verification from Microsoft that you are eligible for the program and have purchased your software online, you need to provide proof of purchase to EG TAFE.

Where do I provide proof to purchase a backup copy?
You can provide your proof of purchase to the Library at either Bairnsdale, Fulham or Forestech campuses.

Once proof of purchase is sighted you will be given a copy of your purchased software.
